More than surfing. A community.

Surf Søstre was founded in Denmark with one simple idea: no woman should have to surf alone.

After spending years travelling the world in search of waves, we experienced something special in surf communities abroad. It wasn't just about surfing—it was about the people you met, the stories you shared after a session, and the feeling of always having someone to paddle out with.

When we returned home to Denmark, we realised we were missing that same sense of community.

We missed having people to text when the forecast looked good.

We missed spontaneous surf trips, sharing surf tips, celebrating each other's progress, and simply keeping the stoke alive between sessions.

So instead of waiting for that community to exist, we decided to build it ourselves.

What started as a few women meeting up to surf has grown into Surf Søstre - a women's surf community built around connection, adventure and a shared love for the ocean.

Today, we bring women together through local community events, surf retreats and adventures in Denmark and abroad. Whether it's a sunset surf session, a community dinner in Copenhagen, a weekend in Cold Hawaii or a surf trip to France, our mission remains the same: creating spaces where women can meet, grow and feel part of something bigger.

We're here for beginners catching their very first wave, experienced surfers chasing new swells, and everyone in between.

Because surfing is about more than waves.
